Traidcraft fights poverty through trade, selling fairly traded goods to individuals and businesses in the UK, running development projects overseas and undertaking policy and campaigning work.  Headquartered in Gateshead their London office has been based for the past year in The Foundry, an award-winning centre in Vauxhall which offers space to social justice and human rights focused organisations.

“We wanted a location which was on a tube line easily accessible from King’s Cross and walking distance to Westminster where we undertake a lot of our policy and campaigning activity.  It enables us to be located in Zone 1 but not have the high rents you find elsewhere in the city.

“Lots of other charities and social enterprises are based locally so it’s easier to network with other organisations who work on similar issues.  Being based in The Foundry has also been great for that.” – Sarah Pearson
