The most wonderful time of the year is almost here! We’re looking forward to the sights and scents of the season to brighten up those dark nights during the winter.

So, grab a mug of hot chocolate, or a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie to read our Nine Elms festive round up!

Winter events  

The Nine Elms Advent Calendar returns for its third year filled with collaborations of local artists, community groups and organisations in Nine Elms to create a magical art trail! Running from Wednesday 1 December to Wednesday 5 January 2022.

From Friday 3 December to Friday 31 December, you can visit The Winter Village at Battersea Power Station to enjoy the festive lights, activities and delicious pop-up food and drink huts in front of one of London’s most iconic buildings for a magical experience by the River Thames.

On Friday 3 December from 6-7pm on the south side of Battersea Bridge, join the Royal College of Art and the Mayor of Wandsworth for the lighting of the Battersea Bridge Christmas Tree. You’ll be serenaded by the Battersea Choral Society and there’ll be mulled wine and mince pies available.

Experience Christmas Festivities at Embassy Gardens on Saturday 4 December from 12pm to 7pm with a Festive Street Food Market, 20ft Christmas tree, music performances from local charity World Heart Beat and the launch of local artist Michael Wallner’s work as part of the Nine Elms Advent Calendar Art Trail.

You shall go to the ball this year! Start your festive celebrations at the Battersea Ball on Wednesday 15 December, it’s a chance to enjoy a fantastic night out while supporting an important local crime fighting charity. Tickets start at £60, book now.

For an outing with the family, catch Turbine Theatre’s Cat in the Hat from 13-23 December or Theatre503’s adaptation of Snow White from 11-30 December (some of Theatre503 shows are pay what you can.

We’re better connected than ever now the Northern line Tube stations are open. You can now visit 15 London hotspots in 15 minutes from Battersea, perfect for that last minute Christmas shopping dash or a quick journey home from a festive night out in the city.
