What: 575 Ways to Create and Connect: Everyday Creativity Workshops Inspired by 575 Wandsworth Road
When: Wednesdays in July and August, 10am-11:30am
Where: Battersea Arts Centre
About these workshops: The team from 575 Wandsworth Road will be delivering a summer of free creative workshops at Battersea Arts Centre for older people in Wandsworth in collaboration with Holistic Creative Therapist Salvatore Circelli, aimed at fostering social connections and inspiring creativity at every age.
575 Ways to Create and Connect uses the theme of ‘everyday creativity’, with each session exploring a different creative prompt linking to the story of the house (e.g. music, collage, poetry and drawing). They can be enjoyed as a one off, or part of the wider programme and offer a great way of exploring your creativity in an informal and welcoming setting. Refreshments provided.

What: Creative Soul Dance workshops
When: Wednesdays, 7pm-8:30pm
Where: St Mary’s RC Primary School, SW8 4EN
About these workshops: Adult wellbeing dance and movement for all abilities (no dance experience necessary). These classes are free, but please book to secure your place. Supported by Wandsworth Council’s Arts for Health and Wellbeing Pilot with Enable Health and Wellbeing.

What: Intermediate/Advance Pilates and Professional Company Class
When: Fridays (see Facebook for dates), 10am-1pm
Where: London Children’s Ballet, 3 Holman Road, SW11 3RL
About these classes: Come along to take pilates and professional company dance classes with us on Fridays. A safe space to Condition and tone your body with a focus on wellbeing. Each week work with different teachers and dance styles. All are welcome, check the Facebook page for the schedule. Cost: £10 drop-in per class or £15 for the whole morning.

About the walk: Find out more about your local area as you explore buildings and political pioneers along Lavender Hill in this local history walk.
What: Tenshintaido Zoom
When: Every Monday on Zoom (restart at the beginning of September)
About the sessions: Soft practice to start a day and week in Peace and Harmony. We are doing movements to stretch your body, then open body and Mind, and some simple katas (forms) to express Cycle of Life and Unity.

What: Kenbu Tenshinryu – Japanese sword of Peace

About these sessions: Kenbu Tenshinryuu is a new style of Iaido, based on traditional and modern martial art. By becoming one with the sword, we learn to live in harmony with Self, Society, Nature and the fundamental Life force of the Universe. Beginners start with a wooden sword. From 15 years old.

About World Heart Beat concerts: World Heart Beat Music Academy offers music learning opportunities for young people (aged 5-25 years) as well as an exciting programme of music concerts throughout the year adding positive vibes and enhanced well-being for all ages.

What: Jonny Mansfield Quintet + Ivo Neame
About the concert: One of the UK’s outstanding young jazz talents, Jonny Mansfield plays with an acoustic quintet exploring original new soundscapes through strings and percussion. Ivo Neame is a pianist, composer, and bandleader established as one of the most innovative and dynamic figures in the contemporary jazz scene; best known for his work with the award-winning bands Phronesis and Marius Neset

About the concerts: World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens will host concerts from Eliane Correa’s Cuban Sextet, Japanese guitar sensation May Inoue, jazz pianist Rebecca Nash‘s Redefining Element 78, a UK premiere from Christine Tobin, a London premiere from Julian Joseph and Harriet Mackenzie, plus rising stars Ava & The SoundCrew, and Josiah Wade and Sam C-Sé.
