Description

Salary MG1 £45,666 – £56,526 per annum inclusive plus PrP

The Nine Elms Programme Team is responsible for ensuring that the Council’s vision of a new world class urban neighbourhood at Nine Elms is achieved.  The Council is committed to the area becoming a major new cultural hub for London and the Nine Elms Cultural Programme is one of the key ways that we will achieve the creation of a vibrant and successful ‘place’ connected to the surrounding communities and to the rest of London.

Working with Partners and London and national stakeholders, we will deliver a high impact cultural programme that raises the profile of the area, attracts significant cultural anchor tenants to the area and supports the wider objectives of the Nine Elms programme in relation to community engagement, placemaking, meanwhile use and inward investment.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of brokering and delivering partnerships with nationally and internationally recognised institutions that benefit local residents and raise the profile of the borough, and experience of commissioning high profile, high quality pan London public programmes.  You will have knowledge of regeneration best practice and a good grasp of planning obligations and how culture and creativity can support place-making. You will be able to provide creative advice and expertise to our development partners as they develop their own cultural strategies and integrate these into the cultural place-making activity across the Opportunity Area.

You’ll be working on an internationally recognisable regeneration project and be part of a team that’s committed to making Nine Elms the best place that it can be and ensures all residents benefit from the regeneration of the area, in line with the Council’s aim to be at the forefront in innovation in local government.
