Wandsworth based businesses are invited to a free networking event which includes information on supply chain opportunities for the Nine Elms on the South Bank regeneration programme.

The event will be hosted by Wandsworth Council, the Wandsworth Business Partnership and the Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce.

The borough’s new business awards competition will also be launched on the night.

When:        Monday, February 4, 2013 from 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Wandsworth Council’s business spokesman Cllr James Cousins said:

“This is a great opportunity for local businesses to meet, share ideas and discuss solutions to local issues.

“There will also be another important update on the Nine Elms on the South Bank regeneration programme which is by far the biggest inward investment scheme in London. This part of the borough has started to change on a truly remarkable scale and we want existing businesses to take full advantage of new opportunities this growth will create.”

Event Programme

6:30 – 7:00pm: Reception / welcome drink

7.00 – 8:15pm: Annual business forum covering:

  • An update on the Nine Elms on the South Bank programme and information on supply chain opportunities.
  • Public sector procurement in London including an introduction to the Procure4London portal.
  • A consultation on Wandsworth Council’s budget 2013-14
  • An introduction to BusinessHelps – a new volunteering service that’s been designed with businesses in mind

8-15 – 9:30 pm – Networking over a light supper
