Earlier this month, Impact Dance wowed the crowds at Happy Streets Festival in Nine Elms with their amazing dance moves. If you wanted to join in and dance to those Hip-Hop beats, now’s your chance!

Battersea Arts Centre (BAC) and Impact Dance Academy are collaborating on an exciting pilot Dance Academy at BAC that you can be a part of.  There are two events coming up this Summer:

Taster Session on Saturday 14 August, 11am to 1:30pm

The taster session is completely free thanks to Wandsworth Council, meaning anyone who lives or goes to school in Nine Elms and Wandsworth and is aged 11 to 19 can take part.

You’ll have the opportunity to see what it’s like to be part of a Hip-Hop Dance Academy at BAC. The taster session will run for an hour and a half where you can dance, meet new people and explore Battersea Arts Centre’s great building.

Dance Academy Term, 15 September to 1 December

If you enjoy the taster session and want to continue on, why not sign up to the Dance Academy Autumn term? The full term will run for 10 weeks with a two week break from Wednesday 15 September, consisting of dance classes specialising in Hip-Hop techniques and skills training, as well as creative and choreography tasks.

Places for the Autumn term are available free to people who live or go to school in Wandsworth thanks to funding by Wandsworth Council.

To take part, register your interest in joining the BAC Dance Academy. You can also email Lydia on nextgen@bac.org.uk or call 07384815076 . (If you are 13 or under, a legal parent/guardian/carer must fill this form out on your behalf).
