This September why not learn a new skill or refresh your knowledge? Wandsworth’s Festival of Learning is hosting a range of free events in and around housing estates in Nine Elms.

Using a Computer Tablet 

11 September, 10am-12noon or 1pm-3pm at the ROSE, Ascalon St, SW8 4DL

For learners aged 60+ living near the ROSE community centre. An interactive session where you will learn how to use a tablet safely, including how to switch energy provider and other useful skills.

Healthy Eating Workshop

11 September, 10am-1pm at Yvonne Carr centre, Thessaly Road, SW8 4HT

Gain some cookery know-how and learn how to cook from scratch, making healthy and money-saving meals.

Learners’ Yoga for those less mobile aged 60+

24 September, 10am-12noon at the ROSE, Ascalon St, SW8 4DL

A session to introduce those less mobile to the benefits of chair-based yoga.

Learners’ Yoga for ages 60+

24 September, 12noon-1.30pm at the ROSE, Ascalon St, SW8 4DL

A session to introduce people aged over 60 to the benefits of yoga.

Dance for Health and Wellbeing

26 September, 10am-12noon or 1pm-3pm at the ROSE, Ascalon St, SW8 4DL

A session to introduce learners to the value of dance as a tool to promote their health and wellbeing. Ages 60+ only.
