Matt’s Gallery presents The Borough, a suite of new paintings by Nicola Bealing, completed with the support of The Bryan Robertson Award, which Bealing won in 2021.
The series takes its title from George Crabbe’s long poem of the same name. Published in 1810, it describes the inhabitants & institutions of a fictional coastal village through a series of letters.
Also at Matt’s Gallery is Vague Poetics, a new body of work by Carolyn Thompson.
Running from 15 March to 16 April 2023, the exhibition is open Wednesday-Sunday from 12noon to 6pm.
