This year St George’s CE Primary School on Thessaly Road is packed with activities for all ages both inside and outside the school. 

At St George’s School grounds (outside)

In the school’s outdoor space, the festival is spread across:

The Long Play Area where you can take part in Fee Uhssi’s Colour Therapy Workshop (ages 7+) and enjoy free face painting. 

The Pen with FAST Youth Club x Denzel 2 Sharp sports drop-in activities (ages 7-18).

The Happiness Garden where you can spend some quiet time with Creative Soul summer craft workshops run by Nine Elms Arts Ministry (ages 3-5+)Happy Street festival listings for Long Play Area, The Pen and Happiness Garden at St George's School venueThe Allotments where you can create a large-scale planet mural with Felicity Prazak (ages 8+) and enjoy drop-in activities run by 575 Wandsworth Road (National Trust).

The Main Stage presents a packed programme of live dance performances from Hallomai Dance, Orleta Polish folk dance and BAC Dance Academy. Plus live jazz music, a family disco, Ruxy Barabas & the World Heart Beat contemporary band, a Ballroom and Latin dance taster class and even a taster HIIT session!

Inside St George’s School

The School Hall has Radiate contemporary dance performances and workshops with E33 Dance Company (all ages).

And Chocolate Films Workshops presents their ‘What Makes You Happy?’ drop-in film booth open to all.

Food and refreshments

Head to the playground to buy something tasty to eat from Citron Vert pop-up cafe serving French Creole & Caribbean fusion dishes, or pick up free refreshments from the Happy Cafe run by Nine Elms Church/Living Room.

Facilities

  • Taps are available in St George’s playground to refill water bottles
  • Toilets, accessible and baby change available at St George’s school
  • A quiet room is available at St George’s school if anyone needs a quiet space away from activities
  • BSL interpreters are onsite at Main Stage but can be requested at Info Point for specific needs
  • Please speak to festival staff if you have specific access needs on the day
