Our Vision

Nine Elms on the South Bank is and will be a fantastic place to live. An internationally significant business district and a new centre for arts and culture in London. It will offer life changing opportunities to the area’s existing residents and will become home to another 30,000 people.

It will be a modern, exciting destination in central London with 20,000 new homes, 25,000 new jobs (post construction), and lots of green spaces and high profile visitor attractions.

There’ll be up to 3km of the Thames riverside opened up to the public, creating a brand new stretch of London’s South Bank. Vauxhall is being dramatically remodelled to create an attractive and pedestrian friendly environment with new and improved public spaces and better links to the river. Soon, London’s skyline will have a number of additions and architectural icons.

A whole new town centre will be built around a redeveloped Battersea Power Station, New Covent Garden Market will be revitalised and the new US Embassy will open in 2017. More than £1 billion is being spent on new infrastructure including two new Tube stations and the creation of a new linear park sweeping right through the district from east to west.

The new Nine Elms on the South Bank will be known for its distinctive architecture, attractive public space and spectacular views of the River Thames. It will be a busy, culturally stimulating place with a broad range of visitor attractions, shops, community facilities and internationally recognised landmarks. Nine Elms is and will be the place to be.
