Harwoods of London supplies hotels and top end restaurants, many of them Michelin-starred, with fresh fruit and vegetables.  Established in 1989 by James’ late father, this family business started in Bow, buying from New Spitalfields Market before moving to New Covent Garden Market seven years ago.

Since then James’ three sons have joined the firm and business has grown; now occupying 4,500 sq.ft. of warehouse and 500 sq.ft. of office space.

“We moved here because it’s so much easier to serve our customers being so centrally located.  It’s also a better market in terms of a wider range of produce.  A redeveloped market will give us a modern, high spec unit that allows us to make our current cold chain process even more efficient.  It’s the future of fruit and veg supply.” – James Drew
