Gasworks re-opened to the public in September 2015 after a £2.1m redevelopment project.  A well-established arts venue in Vauxhall, Gasworks offers a ground-breaking programme of exhibitions, artists’ studios, outreach activities and international residencies, mainly with artists based outside Europe and North America.

Many artists who have been involved with Gasworks have gone on to exhibit at major institutions and be nominated or win prestigious awards including the Turner Prize.

“After 20 years of being located on this site, we are delighted finally to have been able to buy the freehold and undertake a major redevelopment to ensure the calibre of the building matches that of our artistic outputs.  We look forward to becoming a major artistic hub in the fast-changing area of Vauxhall.  The area’s cultural credentials are very much on the rise.” – Alessio Antoniolli
