Rosie Hermon, Nine Elms Arts and Events Manager, presents a screening of Thames Film (1986) by William Raban. Described by Peter Ackroyd as a film of ‘beauty sublimity and terror’, Thames Film navigates the 50 miles from the centre of London to the sea from the perspective of the river, narrated by John Hurt and incorporating fragments of painting The Triumph of Death by Bruegel the Elder and T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets.
Part of the Winter Trails: Remapping Nine Elms festival taking place between 18 November and 21 December 2017.
