This evening is the second in a series of four lectures around the Cedric Morris: Artist Plantsman exhibition at the Museum.

Tonight, Sarah Cook, former Head Gardener at Sissinghurst and Biologist Clive Lundquist, will be discussing Cedric Morris through his work as a plantsman and an artist, and what we can learn about Morris from this.

Sarah Cook will be speaking on the subject of Sir Cedric Morris; Irises, Gardening and Friends: A brief look at Cedric Morris through the friends named in his irises and some of those who were influenced by his knowledge of plants and gardening.

Clive Lundquist will choose some of the paintings in the exhibition Cedric Morris: Artist Plantsman, identifying the plants used in these pieces and making inferences about Morris’ choices, something he regularly assists with at the Philip Mould gallery.

The talks will be followed by a Q&A with the speakers.

This talk is part of a series of talks about Cedric Morris.
