Get stuck into sculpture this summer!

Nine Elms is home to a number of public sculptures, old and new: from monumental works by Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore, to more recent commissions, such as the brightly coloured ‘Power’ installation at Battersea Power Station by Morag Myerscough.

Join artist Kathy MacCarthy for a three-day workshop inspired by the public sculpture in Nine Elms. With Kathy, you will be investigating different sculptures through discussion, and through different materials – drawing, collage, clay etc. making your own forms to temporarily situate next to existing artworks. Over the course of the three days you will learn more about making and presenting sculpture, and will be encouraged to reflect on the role of sculpture in relation to place. This workshop is ideally suited to with an interest in or pursuing art at GSCE or above, but all those aged 14 and over and welcome.

Please reserve your FREE place via the Eventbrite link below. The workshop will be held from 10am-3pm at the ROSE Centre, SW8.
