Musicians Carla Flores and Ava Joseph came up with the concept behind Operation Forest during lockdown when they were no longer able to meet in person at the academy.  They wanted to come together virtually with their fellow musicians and express themselves in light of Black Lives Matter whilst also wanting to give back to World Heart Beat, which has supported their musical learning since the academy began.

The concert features World Heart Beat musicians performing a wide selection of songs by influential musicians including Prince, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Nina Simone, The Sounds of Blackness.

Tune in for some exceptional playing from World Heart Beat musicians including Ava Joseph (vocal), Carla Flores (vocal), Anjelo Disons (vocal) Jas Kayser (drums) Ezekiel Ajie (bass), Deschanel Gordon (piano) and guest Cleveland Watkis, MBE (vocal).

Watch the concert on World Heart Beat’s YouTube channel.
