For 2017 the School of Architecture at the Royal College of Art will be moving off-site to display work by its graduating MA, MPhil and PhD students. Students will present their final projects in the impressive space of The Workshop – a new temporary community and events space in the heart of Lambeth.
Taking on a new format that will include workshops with local teenagers delivered in collaboration with the Stephen Lawrence Foundation, the exhibition demonstrates the work of 84 students across MA Architecture, MA Interior Design and MPhil / PhD programmes.
Visitors are invited to explore politically charged and socially aware student work that expands the possibilities of architecture. Projects range from Borneo, Chad, Italy and Iran to Blackpool, Wales and Walthamstow and experiments in housing, agricultural production, infrastructure, automation, robotics and digital simulations to push the limits of current modes of existence.
