Join us at the Imagination Lab on Sunday 18 June for Lab Live: Metropolis, our interactive, family event.

We’re inviting children aged 3 – 12 and their parents and carers to create, play and tinker with different materials, shapes, sounds and functions.

Lab Live: Metropolis will bring cities to life through a host of interactive activities that enable children to explore their imaginations. Children will have the opportunity to:

  • Design and create a transportation system with London Transport Museum
  • Model a pavilion for your neighbourhood using 3D design software from Kidesign
  • Plan and bring to life a large scale fire bridge collaborative tower with a team of architects from Our Hut
  • Invent something in the Fab Bus, a London double-decker bus fitted out with 12 workstations and 16 machines, from computers, to 3D food printers, to vinyl laser cutters
  • Build a kit car with Robert Workshop and race to see whose is fastest
  • Make hanging gardens and urban forests with Kokedama Hanging Gardens
  • Explore how buildings and transit systems function using apps including Cospaces, Mini Metro and Skyscraper
  • Tinker with the concept of water systems by building your own waterwalls

This event has kindly been sponsored by Lambeth Council and Vauxhall One.
