An exclusive preview of three new St James developments in Nine Elms on the South Bank and a debate with the architects and developer.
The Berkeley Group is once again sponsoring this year’s London Festival of Architecture. Come and visit our Riverlight development to discuss the designs for two new St James schemes emerging on the Albert Embankment: Merano and the Corniche. These sites are part of Nine Elms on the South Bank, the largest regeneration programme in Britain. Merano’s 28-storey building has been designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. A collection of 40 private residences, the building will combine strong geometric lines with external columns and bronze coloured metal mesh side panels. The Corniche is designed by Foster + Partners. The three iconic buildings range from 15 – 27 storeys high and will create a distinctive new presence on the London skyline. The finished development will contain 168 apartments, ranging from studios to 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses. There will also be 85 affordable homes for senior living. Join us for some refreshments after work, an exclusive preview of the three developments and a debate with the architects and developer. What are the challenges of regeneration on this scale? And can we put great architecture at the heart of a new cultural district for the capital?
NB: Unfortunately this event is now fully booked.
