Potter Isatu Hyde will demonstrate sgraffito glaze techniques, flute a thrown piece of pottery, and discuss the essential philosophies and motivations behind her craft work. She will talk through the traditional hand skills behind her finished work, and invite questions on her practice and inspirations. Isatu will have a range of her work from her latest firing in the oil-fired, reduction kiln at The Marches Pottery on sale at the accompanying exhibition.
The demonstration will take place on Friday 11 May 2018 with sessions at 11am, 2pm and 4pm. Each session lasts for 30 minutes.
