Come along to the ROSE Community Clubroom to see an inspiring showcase of creative ideas for the spring/summer arts season in Nine Elms and Battersea.
The movement + metamorphosis event follows the ‘make your art in Nine Elms artist call-out’. You will see the artists proposals and vote on which projects you would like to see happen this year.
The evening event will help kickstart a series of art projects, commissioned by the community, to be delivered over the next six months.
Everyone is welcome, whatever your age or experience! So come along and support local artists to help commission new work for your area.
Waste Not Want Not will be also be providing free hot food during the event.
Artists proposals will be responding to the theme movement + metamorphosis:
…the new architectural and landscape designs and possibilities of Battersea/ Nine Elms as it moves forward and looks to the future. Shifting and transforming, both the outer visible changes, alongside the inner hidden ones, it is a time where there is an abundance of change and transformation taking place right before our eyes. This movement + metamorphosis, connection between the old and the new, requires a re-interpretation of places and spaces with new insight and nourishment from the diversity of ideas and creativity of our communities.
