CLOUDSCAPES is a duologue for performer and clouds in an outdoor auditorium — a cloud-gazing area. Whilst a performer tells stories of her relationship with the troposphere, audiences are encouraged to look up and contemplate the mutability of clouds, as well as the mutability of humanity.
Cloudscapes is a very personal, human-scale work about clouds, with a focus on the role of clouds in climate change. It premiered at the Inside Out Dorset Festival in September 2016 on the dramatic coastal site of Hengistbury Head.
Gobbledegook make innovative, cross-artform work for unusual places. With theatre at its core, their live performance, music, and installation work is frequently inspired by Earth Sciences, and almost always takes place outdoors.
Performances are suitable for all ages.
Battersea Society members are local residents and former residents, businesses and even visitors who fell in love with this vibrant part of South West London. Through their work they investigate and honour Battersea’s rich heritage, promote and protect open spaces, and ensure community is at the heart of development across the historic borough.
Brian Barnes has been painting murals around South London for over 40 years.
