Come and join us to cook a meal inspired by foods from world cuisines, inspired by the travels of the Tradescant plant hunters.

We often chose to explore world cuisine in our cooking workshops, because the plants in our gardens at the museum also come from around the world.  During the workshop we will learn about key ingredients and flavours from the chosen cuisine as well as practicing our knife skills, and learning how to follow a recipe. At the end of the session we will eat everything we’ve cooked!

The course will take place in our new food learning studio. All food and equipment is provided and the session includes a light vegetarian lunch.

The cooking workshop is ideally suited to children aged 6-10 accompanied by an adult. However if children have attended one of our cooking workshops at the Garden Museum before and are aged 8 and above they may attend unaccompanied.

We will be hosting a cooking workshop for this age group every Thursday in the school summer holidays.  Check out our events page for news of other classes.

Tickets £3* per person, per day (Children and adults need a ticket).

*This class is subsidised to keep prices affordable.
