Re-imagining natural phenomena and the built environment, WHABBstudio presents Ebb & Flow, commissioned by Wandsworth Council.
The exhibition will depict a projected animation of the live tide level, accompanied by submerged sounds of the river.
The aim of the piece is to further connect the river with local neighbourhoods, communities and people in the area.
The climate crisis is changing the rhythm with which global tides ebb and flow. Current tide tables, which forecast tides down to the minute many years into the future, may prove to be inaccurate due to an increase of flash flooding, droughts, and rising sea levels. Ebb & Flow highlights where we are with local tides at the present moment in the timeline of tidal history.
Sound composition in collaboration with Artur Vidal.
WHABBStudio was selected by the Battersea and Nine Elms community as part of this year’s ‘Movement and Metamorphosis – Make Art in Nine Elms’ event programme, sponsored by Wandsworth Council.
