Come down to Thessaly Road and join community members in helping re-plant London’s quirkiest community garden ahead of Chelsea Fringe.
The make-over of the Thessaly Road boundary wall with colour and line art, along with the playful planters, has transformed the 800 metre long boundary wall with New Covent Garden Market. There’s blackcurrants, strawberries and herbs to plant, plus a lovely selection of perennials to encourage bees.
Following on from this event, The Edible Bus Stop will be handing over the future gardening duties to the ‘Edible Avenue SW8’ volunteer gardening group. They have regular ‘potting shed’ Wednesdays with a gardening expert on hand and will look after the Thessaly Road planters.
We do hope you continue to enjoy the planting and stay involved. It’s your neighbourhood to feel proud of.
