Creative Soul is the new arts and wellbeing initiative by Nine Elms Arts Ministry and supported by Dominvs Group.

The friendly sessions will be led by professional dancers, Emily Yong and Rachel Riveros. Rachel is a ballet dancer who trained at Northern Ballet School and Artistic Director of community based dance company: E33 – she lives in Clapham Junction and is passionate about people discovering their value and purpose in life. Emily trained at Rambert School and is a co-founder of Eek & Wild dance company – she is a Wandsworth based dance artist, who loves people, community, and telling stories through dance.

Each session begins with a gentle warm up, followed by simple stretches, before exploring a short movement piece, based around a different uplifting theme each week.

After each session there will be refreshments and a chance to reflect on the class and enjoy each other’s company.

The dance sessions are for adults of all abilities and will take place at St Mary’s Primary School in Nine Elms.

Spaces are free but booking in advance is advised.

Watch out for Creative Soul: Café. Due to launch in May 2022, the next series of free events will pop-up at venues around Nine Elms, offering people the chance to nurture their wellbeing through visual art, craft, poetry and more.

The Nine Elms Arts Ministry is an emerging community, exploring the arts, spirituality, well-being and social justice in the heart of Nine Elms. Creative Soul is the new series of events, led by Revd Betsy Blatchley, Pioneer Minister in the Arts and supported by the Anglican Diocese of Southwark and Dominvs Group.
