Beaconsfield Gallery and the Partisan Social Club invite the public to the final closing event to celebrate the end of the Partisan Social Club’s residency!
The event will start with a talk by artist Richard Galpin who will discuss his local projects which are deeply embedded within the South London Community such as the Kennington Chartist Project, and will end with a game of Partisan Bingo!
In addition, you can expect music, slogans, provocations and reflections on the topic of the current exhibition at Beaconsfield Gallery, On Being Together: Memberships, Collectives and Unions.
As well as discussing the Kennington Chartist Project, Richard Galpin will explore other recent projects such as the Alberta Fruit Commons and the Bloody Marvel, both of which have South London focus. Moreover, the talk will touch upon elements of community food growing, local history, and activism and Richard will reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of these models of artistic practice.
