Botanical illustration class

Attendees will have to opportunity to sketch from three curated displays of colourful flowers, tropical foliage and fruit inspired by three intrepid plant hunters from the past, allowing us to recount their thrilling, and often dangerous, voyages to exotic lands to make their collections.

A range of materials will be available to experiment with – including watercolours and pen and inks – and workshop leader Jennie Webber will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and provide creative support throughout the class. All abilities are welcome, and the session will start with an in-depth introduction into observational drawing. All materials are provided!
