Free workshop as part of autumn exhibition about gardens/gardening and World War 1. Create a garden from clay inside the museum over the week. Come along and add to the installation and make it grow! A ceramics artist will work with the public with the aim to use clay to draw with and to create a garden inside the museum. The clay is a reference to trenches and mud and the soldiers who used to grow vegetables in the trenches. It will be a participatory piece for the public that will ‘grow’ each day with visitors as well as volunteers and staff being invited to add to it. At the end of the week it will be photographed and the clay recycled! General public welcome anytime during opening hours.
