Led by ceramic artist Katie Spragg, these weekly workshops for people affected by early stage dementia and their companions will provide an introduction to working with clay exploring our connection to objects, memories, souvenirs and place.
Based in the beautiful setting of the Garden Museum, Katie will demonstrate techniques to create objects and sculptures from clay, inspired by the nature celebrated at the museum. The pieces created will be fired in the kiln ready to take home at the end of the workshops.
No prior experience necessary. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
This event is organised by Arts 4 Dementia. Booking is through Arts 4 Dementia, please visit their website for more information.
The workshops are free of charge. As places are limited, early registration is recommended. Participants and their companions registering are invited to attend all sessions.
