Join us on Art Night for the unveiling of our first permanent London outdoor work ‘Self and Other (for the Albert Embankment)‘ with performances by Studio Wayne McGregor throughout the evening.
Self and Other (for the Albert Embankment) is Random International’s first permanent, public, outdoor work in the UK. This responsive sculpture translates the onlooker’s full-length, moving reflection into light, captured within large layers of glass. Random International will once again collaborate with Studio Wayne McGregor for a special performance choreographed in response to the work as part of Art Night. Self and Other has been commissioned by St James, part of the Berkeley Group, for its redevelopment of Albert Embankment, an area which is part of a fast-growing cultural quarter that is contributing to the extension of London’s South Bank.
