This summer, Vauxhall Village are bringing six free pop-up cinema screenings to the historic Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in Nine Elms on the South Bank.

Following the successful screenings last summer, Vauxhall Village Presents is back from June 3rd with a free outdoor cinema experience like no other. With films ranging from pop-culture classic Mean Girls to laugh out loud comedy Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens are in the heart of Vauxhall within the growing cultural hub of Nine Elms on the South Bank. Vauxhall Village Presents will take place alongside a number of events planned for summer 2014 and beyond including Chelsea Fringe, London Festival of Architecture and the Mayors Thames Festival.

The Pleasure Gardens are secluded enough to enjoy the film in peace but with great transport links to stumble home afterwards. Cinema goers can bring a blanket from home or hire one for just £2.50, and snuggle up with their loved ones under the stars on a summer night. Visitors can also rent a Vauxhall Village deck chair for £5 to watch the film in true luxury; every deck chair comes with a free bag of Propercorn, because no film experience is complete without popcorn!

Along with Propercorn, refreshments will be available to buy from the on-site Kopparberg bar and for those that fancy something to eat there will be a smorgasbord of London’s top street food vendors.

Perfect for an evening with friends or family, or just a night off by yourself, movie lovers can enjoy a free film in peace on a warm Tuesday evening (good weather not guaranteed)!
