The Rose Community Centre in Nine Elms is hosting a day of Christmas cheer on December 15, and local people are invited to enjoy a range of free, festive events including floristry, carols, and a visit from Santa.

The fun will begin with the Floral Angels floristry workshop, giving local people the chance to make festive bouquets in time for Christmas.

Up to 30 residents will be able to help make the decorative bunches of flowers, and can either keep the fruits of their labour or donate bouquets to their friends and neighbours.

The workshop will be led by Floral Angels, a charity who use unwanted flowers donated by other florists to gift bouquets to hospices, care homes, women’s shelters, and others who would benefit.

In the afternoon, celebrations will continue when Santa arrives to transform the centre into his grotto and greet local children. All children who meet Santa will receive a free gift.

The evening will see a performance from the Battersea Power Station Community Choir.

Guests can listen to the choir while enjoying mulled wine, mince pies, and a Christmas buffet.

Finally, at around 8pm, a raffle will take place for a Christmas prize. All adults in attendance will receive one free ticket for a chance to win.
